The South Dakota State Board of Dentistry (Board) hereby notifies its licensees and registrants of an upcoming administrative transition. After seventeen years of service, the Executive Secretary, Brittany Novotny, has elected to step down from that role, and her firm will conclude its day-to-day management of Board operations effective May 31, 2026. The current administrative team remains fully committed to supporting a thoughtful and orderly transition that ensures continuity of operations and supports the ongoing success of the Board and those it serves.

To ensure the ongoing administration of the Board’s statutory duties, the Board is seeking a qualified contractor to manage its day-to-day operations and its administrative, regulatory, and operational responsibilities. The Board has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify a contractor capable of providing these services.  Inquiries regarding the RFP may be submitted to Kaitlin Sherer at Kaitlin.sherer@state.sd.us, Department of Health.
