Renewal is now open!
It is time to renew your license for 2024-2025. You can renew your license now by logging into your acount at the top of our home page. In order to ensure the accuracy of your personal information, you must complete your own renewal.
Due to Administrative Rule changes that went into effect in late 2023, renewal fees have increased. The new fee schedule can be found
at the bottom of our home page. For your convenience, the statutes and administrative rules are always available on our website. Please take the time to
periodically review these to ensure compliance.
As part of an ongoing focus on wellness, if you or a colleague are experiencing a substance use or mental health illness, the South
Dakota Health Professionals Assistance Program (HPAP) is a resource available to you. Early intervention and comprehensive accurate
evaluation, combined with ongoing case management and support of treatment efforts, offers the best opportunity for a successful
outcome. The Board has contracted with Midwest Health Management Services to make these services available to all licensees. HPAP
is a confidential program.
Please be advised that if you do not renew your license by July 1st your license will automatically be suspended as of July
2nd and you will not be able to practice until you have reinstated your license. Please be sure to renew any permit you currently
hold. If you inadvertently miss the July 1st deadline, you will be able to reinstate your license and permits by fulfilling all
renewal requirements, if done within 30 days of the suspension. After that 30 day grace period, you will be required to complete
the full reinstatement process and reapply for any permits previously held.
